Allison Watts, DDS
One of the things Allison really enjoys is teaching other dentists and their teams advanced techniques and skills in their personal and professional life that in turn positively affects hundreds of patients and families.
Allison also enjoys being a trained coach with the Ford Institute of Integrative Coaching to help people live the life of their dreams. I was inspired to become a dentist because dentistry changed my life.
I got into dentistry to change people's lives by helping to heal their emotional pain and lack of self-confidence.
"The most rewarding thing about dentistry is the opportunity to help people change their lives. I really enjoy learning about my patients goals and dreams and helping them move forward toward the accomplishment of those dreams. I want to help my patients have their best health, brightest smile and live their best life." Allison Watts, DDS
I was born with skeletal growth issues that affected my appearance and gave me the "long face" look. Because of this (and many other issues) I went through my teen years with very low self-esteem. In college, I had jaw surgery and it changed my self-esteem. It actually deeply affected my life in a positive way. I was excited about this physical change and it inspired me to want to do dentistry to help heal that emotional pain and lack of self-esteem for others.
As I've grown and with much personal work, I realize that there were also emotional things that needed to be healed–my own thoughts, beliefs and actions were limiting my ability to enjoy my life! I have been able to heal the inside and the outside and enjoy helping people with both physical and emotional restoration.
After graduating with honors in 1995 from Baylor College of Dentistry, Allison moved to Midland, Texas to begin her practice. Since the beginning of her practice, Allison has practiced comprehensive and restorative dentistry. She has focused her continuous studies on restorative dentistry (rebuilding or "restoring" the teeth to their natural strength and beauty), and the proper function of the jaw joints and bite as well as their effects on the long-term retention of teeth.
She has also focused on the smile and its dynamic effect on the individual’s sense of well being. In addition, she has had advanced training on how teeth and the materials we use can affect the body and the overall health of her patients.
She has accumulated over 1500 hours of advanced training at some of the finest learning institutions available in dentistry today. She has attended numerous post-graduate dental studies programs, including advanced studies in fixed prosthodontics, implants, cosmetic dentistry and occlusion.

She also graduated from the esteemed Seattle Institute for advanced dental studies in Seattle, Washington, known for providing the highest quality technical training in esthetics, implants and restorative dentistry.
She has completed the entire continuum that Frank Spear offers and is now a visiting faculty member for The Spear Institute. She is professionally active in numerous organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and The American Equilibration Society.
She has been involved in several study clubs and is now in an intense study club called the Seattle Study Club, where she must present her own dentistry to her colleagues. She has also participated in study clubs in Dallas where dentists present actual cases to each other and take part in a lively forum investigating and discussing the latest findings in dentistry, as well as success and failure rates of various procedures and materials.
Allison has participated in numerous international charities. She has participated several years with Give back a smile through the AACD and also Smiles for Life.
